Financials

We at the National Benevolent Association take great pride in our financial policies and practices. The financial statements are produced in strict Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) compliance, transactions are processed within a disciplined internal control system, and funds are managed with an uncompromising attention to donor intent. The Chief Financial Officer works closely with the Board of Trustees’ Finance Committee, which consists of financial professionals.

The committee meets quarterly and reviews all major financial policies and investment decisions as well as the financial statements. This group currently serves as the Audit Committee and meets at least annually with the auditors and staff. At a minimum, the committee meets with the auditors independent of the staff. The organization’s management letter is “clean” and contains no reportable items.
