Mr. Michael Readinger

I serve as president and CEO of CHHSM, the Council for Health and Human Service Ministries of the United Church of Christ. I previously worked in financial services and was involved in a number of entrepreneurial endeavors in the restaurant and club industry, specializing in management accounting systems. I’ve also served on the board of trustees and have been involved with a variety of community and professional organizations. I am a founding member of the community of worship at Church First at The Amistad Chapel United Church of Christ in Cleveland, OH.

Why did you say “yes” to the NBA Board of Trustees?

I am thrilled to work with my colleagues at the NBA to advance the health and healing service ministries and social justice issues we hold dear. I look forward to learning and sharing best practices, stories of our shared ministry, and possible collaboration.

The NBA’s vision statement is “creating communities of compassion and care.” What does this mean to you?

This aligns so beautifully with the UCC’s core values of continuing testament, changing lives, and extravagant welcome, and with CHHSM’s mission statement. It is a promise of all that we hope to be, can be, and are.
