DESCRIPTION:The National Benevolent Association recognizes that leadership in today’s cultural climate can be a difficult job and that creating space for education and personal growth is key to sustainability both for leaders and the organization. NBA’s leadership development grants are designed to enhance and promote the health\, well-being\, and skill development of organizational leaders. \nExecutives and Leaders of Disciples-affiliated Health and Social Service organizations are eligible to apply for Leadership Development Grants up to $1000 per year. Grant funding may cover courses\, seminars\, workshops\, or coaching that enhance the knowledge and skill set of organizational leaders to work more effectively. These may include offerings through ministries of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) or other conferences\, seminars\, trainings\, and the like. SUMMARY:Apply for a Young Adult Leadership Development Grant
DESCRIPTION:Overview\nThrough NBA’s Young Adult Leadership Development (YALD) program area\, we seek to co-create spaces with and for young adults 18-30 to flourish in life and service. NBA’s YALD grants are specifically designed to support current and future leaders in identifying their leadership qualities\, building leadership capacity\, and allowing young adults to explore new possibilities in the areas of service and justice. Young adults are eligible to apply for either a Development Grant or an Exploration/Ingenuity Grant. \nDevelopment Grants\nThese grants are intended for: \n\nYoung adults working in a health and social service profession seeking additional training to enhance their knowledge/skills to be more effective in their current role or seeking to advance beyond that role.\nYoung adults seeking more broad leadership training to hone specific skills in church or community leadership (ex. diversity\, equity\, inclusion\, and belonging training\, conflict transformation\, community organizer training\, etc.)\nYoung adults seeking assistance for formal courses related to fields of study in health and social services.\n\nExploration/Ingenuity Grants\nThis grant is for young adults who desire to pursue a passion project\, social enterprise idea\, or advance a project they already started. Projects or social enterprises must be community or congregation-based\, and related to a particular health\, social\, or justice need in their context. \n\nHow to Apply\n\nApplications are now closed. \nAll applications must be submitted through the online form — no hard copies will be considered. \n\n\n\n\nTo complete the application\, you will need to provide the following information: \n\nAccurate contact information of the person applying for the grant.\nA summary detailing the type and purpose of the desired leadership training for the development grant\, or project description for the exploration/ingenuity grant\, the applicant’s hopes and goals\, implementation timeline\, and a proposed budget.\nThe amount requested\, up to $1\,000 USD.\n\nNote: The application has a ‘save’ function. DESCRIPTION:The BIWOC Young Adult Peer Learning & Wellness Group creates a dedicated\, sacred space for Disciples-affiliated Black\, Indigenous\, and other Women Of Color ages 22–30 who are serving in congregations\, community organizations\, health & social service ministries\, and justice work to gather for mutual support\, leadership development\, spiritual renewal\, and collective action. This is a 12-month hybrid group that will meet virtually twice a month\, and meet two times in person. \n  \nEligibility/Focus:  \nDisciples-affiliated Black\, Indigenous\, and other Women Of Color ages 22–30 who are serving in congregations\, community organizations\, health & social service ministries\, and justice work. \n  \nApplications are now closed.\n  \nImportant Details\nDates:  \nThis Peer Learning & Wellness Group will run from April 2026-April 2027. \nFrequency:  \nThe cohort will meet for 90 minute bi-weekly virtual meetings on Wednesdays at 7:30pm ET/6:30pm CT starting April 29th. \nConveners:  \n\nRev.
