NBA + OGMP On the Road: Connecting Communities of Compassion and Care

This spring, the National Benevolent Association (NBA) and the Office of the General Minister and President (OGMP) are going on the road "connecting communities of compassion and care!" During the week of March 12-18, 2018, Rev. Terri Hord Owens will be traveling to visit with Disciples health and social service ministries across the United States.
Disciples Gatherings: Save the Date!
Over the course of the week and across the country, Rev. Owens and NBA staff and trustees will be traveling to visit with NBA ministry partners and local Disciples. Dallas, TX: Tuesday, March 13
Featuring NBA initiatives and Disciples health and social service ministries in the Southwest Region, including NBA Mission and Ministry Grantee RISE and SHINE and the NBA Mental Health Initiative, as well as presentation and Q&A with GMP Rev. Terri Hord Owens.
Cleveland, OH: Wednesday, March 14

Featuring NBA initiatives and Disciples health and social service ministries in the Northern California-Nevada Region, including Recovery Cafe San Jose, UrbanMission Community Partners, Oakland Peace Center, and advocacy and activism efforts, as well as presentation and Q&A with GMP Rev. Terri Hord Owens.
Through dialogue, presentations, and gatherings, we seek to deepen the connections and knowledge between health and social service ministries and Rev. Owens, especially in her leadership role with the Disciples, while also enhancing the connections that health and social service leaders have with the NBA and with the wider church.
