Zieminski Joins NBA as Director of Marketing

The National Benevolent Association (NBA) of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) calls Ms. Kasi Zieminski to serve as the Director of Marketing beginning April 20, 2015.

Zieminski began her career in advertising account management, working on several national and regional brands at two full-service agencies, DDB and TracyLocke. She later transitioned into higher education, spending the past five years in both development and marketing communications roles at Southern Methodist University. As Director of Marketing for the NBA, Zieminski will help establish and implement an integrated marketing and communications effort, including research, planning and implementation.

“After beginning my career in advertising, I made the decision to move into the nonprofit sector, motivated by the desire to pursue more meaningful work. I recently completed a master’s degree concentrating in human rights and social justice, which complements my professional standards for ethical marketing and servant leadership,” shares Zieminski. “At the NBA, I will build upon my experience as a critical thinker, strategic leader, and advocate for social justice, committing my skills and talents to support an organization that is truly making a difference.”

“We are very excited to welcome Kasi to the NBA team! The communications skills and experiences that she brings from her background in advertising, higher education, and nonprofit work will truly help to share the amazing stories and ministries happening with Disciples health and social services today. With Kasi, we hope to amplify and share out how Disciples are making an impact and truly creating communities of compassion and care,” reflects April Lewton, NBA Vice President of Development and Marketing.

One of the first marketing areas that Kasi will help to lead is the NBA’s preparation for the upcoming General Assembly of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). The NBA will collaborate and support partners teaching learning tracks and workshops as well as prepare exhibit space with over 20 different Disciples health and social service nonprofits and projects. Additionally, three different NBA Pop-Up Cafes are being planned to welcome attendees to learn more about NBA partners and the work being done in communities across the life of the church.
