Jackson, MS—Southern Christian Services for Children and Youth, Inc. (SCSCY) is a faith-based, nonprofit organization that was incorporated in 1988. SCSCY provides services through 11 different statewide locations including therapeutic group homes for children and youth, a transitional living facility for older teens who are homeless; an array of adoption, therapeutic foster care, and post adoption services; abstinence education for at-risk youth; and education services that include independent living preparation for teens in the foster care system.

Fall 2021 Mission & Ministry Grant: Trauma Education for Immigrant Mexican and Guatemalan Children and Youth ($5,000)
Youth & Young Adults
This project addresses the lack of trauma education available to primarily Mexican and Guatemalan immigrant children/youth in Mississippi. The project pairs with licensed therapists to educate children and youth 10-25 about how to cope with and process trauma, and be safe from being revictimized.
