NBA Resources for the COVID-19 Pandemic
The emergence and spread of the respiratory disease, coronavirus, or COVID-19 as designated by the World Health Organization, has faith leaders wondering about their role and response. At such times, we are reminded of how interconnected our global world can be and how important it is to approach one another with an ethic of compassion and care.
To offer a rapid and impactful response to the Coronavirus pandemic, the NBA Board of Trustees has authorized grant funding to support Disciples-related ministries that are working locally in response to this crisis. With this funding we seek to offer relief to ministries that have been detrimentally impacted and to support new projects created in service to those suffering because of the pandemic.
Let us acknowledge that it has been stressful these past few weeks as we all have responded, both professionally and personally, to concerns related to Coronavirus. Please be assured that the NBA staff has been in constant contact to determine how our ministry can best respond.
Even in times of uncertainty, NBA and our partners are still working to create communities of compassion and care. There stories are from our resilient partners, staff and the Disciples community.
Our Mental Health & Wellness Initiative team invites you to join us for a moment to pause and process. Throughout the spring, NBA hosted a series of SoulCare moments to practice self-care and prayer.
