NBA XPLOR Resources

The National Benevolent Association (NBA) is dedicated to connecting the people and ministries of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), to accompany one another in the creation of communities of compassion and care, and to advocate for the well-being of humanity. Inspired by this mission, we created NBA XPLOR in 2014.

NBA XPLOR is a 10-month Residency for young adults to discern their vocational and spiritual paths. Residents live together in simple community, engage in systemic justice work, and serve local Disciples congregations in host sites across the United States. To learn more, please visit our XPLOR page.

Resources – Help Us Spread the Word!

Most Residents learn of NBA XPLOR through a local pastor or member of their congregation. We encourage churches and universities to talk personally with young adults who might be seeking their next steps, and who are ready to put their passion to purpose in new ways. We invite you to share the materials below in your congregation and with any young adult (21-30 years old) willing to ask with a bold spirit,

“What might God and my community be calling me to do and to become…and what will it take to get there?”

Here are some informational materials that may be helpful to you as you share about XPLOR. Many thanks for being an important part of this program as we cultivate future cohorts of XPLOR Residents!
