NBA Welcomes New Chief Financial Officer Amy Johns

The National Benevolent Association introduces Amy Johns, our new Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Johns joined NBA on January 1, 2022, and spent the month working alongside outgoing CFO Gary Zimmerman before his retirement at the end of January.

In her new role, Johns leads the finance team at NBA and oversees all financial activities of the organization providing vision, leadership, and employing financial management practices that build stability and flexibility for now and in the future.

Johns is a licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and joins NBA with over 15 years of experience working for nonprofits.  She has extensive nonprofit financial management experience and has a unique understanding that strong financial management connects to every aspect of a nonprofit.

Based in Dallas, Texas, Johns lives with her husband and nine-year-old son. When she isn’t working, she enjoys coaching youth soccer with her husband and rooting for the Dallas Cowboys.
