  • Community Conversation: “What Counts as Addiction?”

    This guided conversation will explore the question: What counts as addiction? In churches and society at large, some addictions are taboo while others are tolerated or even encouraged. This informal, faith-rooted conversation will name the range of behaviors that can become addictive including alcohol, drugs, gambling, technology, work, food, exercise, and even religious performance. 

  • Soul Care: Carrying Recovery Forward

    Join us for a special Soul Care session as we close out National Recovery Month with intention, reflection, and hope. This 30-minute communal space is designed to honor the experiences, insights, and truths shared throughout September while opening a path forward rooted in the ongoing resilient nature of recovery. 

  • Capturing Life Stories

    Through the process of life review, we reconnect with significant milestones that can bring resolution and wisdom to be shared across generations. Co-leaders Jan Aerie, Coordinator of Older Adult Ministries, Gerontologist and Family Counselor, and Rev. Maudine Wordlaw, Minister of Bereavement for Light of the World Christian Church in Indianapolis, will discuss how individuals and congregations can take steps to satisfaction and even greater longevity. 

  • 2025 Mental Health Professionals Conference

    NBA will hold it's 3rd annual hybrid Mental Health Professionals Conference October 2-4 in Denver, Colorado. Both virtual and in-person options will be available for mental health professionals or chaplains working in the field of mental health or completing a graduate degree in a mental health-related area.

  • Medicaid, Medicare, SNAP, and You: What to Expect, What to Do

    The webinar will address the implications of H.R. 1, also known as the Big Beautiful Bill. We will develop a discussion on evaluating its impacts and explore ways for communities to resist it, as well as equip them for organizing, prophetic, and pastoral work. We will focus on the effects of H.R. 1 on healthcare and food assistance programs, particularly Medicare, Medicaid, and SNAP.

    This dynamic three-part webinar series empowers youth and young adults to reimagine their relationship with money. Hosted in partnership between the M.A.C.C. Foundation, DHM’s YAYA Ministries, and NBA’s Young Adult Leadership Development Program, each session combines practical financial tools with in-depth reflection on money as a tool, a privilege, and a responsibility.

  • 2025 Mental Health Summit for Clergy

    The 2025 Mental Health Summit for Clergy is a three-hour virtual summit designed to equip clergy with essential mental health knowledge to better support themselves and their congregations. Through expert-led sessions and practical discussions, participants will explore how to recognize mental health challenges and respond with care, how to build effective partnerships with community mental health, and learn how to intentionally weave mental health and wellness awareness into every aspect of congregational life, from sermons and small groups to outreach and pastoral care.
