Meet NBA’s Newest HSS Partner, Restore Clergy!
October 16, 2025 | by NBA Cares

NBA is excited to welcome Restore Clergy and its Executive Director, Rev. Kinsie Tate, as one of our newest HSS Partners. Restore Clergy is a transformative organization dedicated to the personal and professional development of clergy, grounded in the belief that “You have to know yourself to be your Self.” Their mission centers on helping faith leaders cultivate self-awareness, resilience, and holistic well-being—empowering them to lead strong, healthy organizations that serve as forces for good in their communities.
This summer, Restore Clergy received an HSS Leadership Development Grant, which is already making a meaningful impact. As Rev. Tate shared, “The HSS Summer Grant we received from NBA helped us fund a mentorship opportunity for me. This allowed me to work with someone who has experience with a similar organization so I can better understand what I do well in my role as executive director, and build upon that strength, as well as what isn’t working well so I can identify areas of growth. This process not only aligns with who we are as an organization, it also moves our organization forward towards the next stage of our development.”

The mentorship supported by the grant is not just a short-term initiative—it’s part of a year-long journey of growth and reflection. This mirrors Restore Clergy’s flagship program, the Restoration Fellowship, a year-long hybrid in-person and virtual experience designed to support clergy and provide a comprehensive approach to building resilience, while also enhancing leadership skills and well-being.
Looking ahead, Rev. Tate shared her vision for how this work will continue to evolve. “True and lasting change takes time and intentionality. The HSS Grant is supporting the first phase of this process that is expected to continue over the next year, or possibly longer. The mentorship will give time and space for me to reflect on the growth we have achieved thus far and what next steps might bring our mission to fruition in years to come.”
We’re proud to support Restore Clergy in this important work and look forward to seeing how their impact continues to grow. Welcome, Rev. Tate and Restore Clergy!
