NBA Welcomes New HSS Program Coordinator

Did you know that NBA works with nearly 50 health and social service organization partners? To help oversee these relationships, NBA has hired Lauren Jones as Program Coordinator for Health and Social Services.

“Lauren brings deep passion and experience in administrative support, partner accompaniment, planning and coordination,” said Rev. Monica Wedlock Kilpatrick, NBA’s Vice President of Organizational & Leadership Development. “Her time working on contract at NBA as a program support specialist for the imPACT Fellows program has positioned her well to understand NBA culture and mission, build meaningful relationships, and learn how we go about our work of accompanying our nonprofit partners. I’m looking very much forward to working closely with Lauren as we expand our efforts to service our partners.”

In this role, Lauren will collaborate with Disciples-related health and social service organizations to strengthen communities through leadership development, operational support, justice advocacy, and churchwide engagement. Utilizing NBA’s core values of belonging, diversity, equity, and inclusion, she will work to expand the reach and uplift the stories of these ministries across the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) denomination.
Lauren isn’t new to NBA. Prior to starting this new role, she served in a contract position as the part-time Program Support Specialist for NBA’s imPACT Fellows initiative, helping to orient and counsel NBA’s first two imPACT Fellows. Her professional career also includes successful stints in the banking and public-school finance sectors. Additionally, Lauren has experience working through strategic planning and creative problem-solving with small businesses and nonprofit organizations.
