Getting to Know Reginald

Why do you feel “called to care” about Disciples health and social service ministry?

I’ve felt “called to care” since I was a young child seeing my family members providing loving care and kindness for myself and those around them. Witnessing my family’s experiences and my own lived experience birthed a desire to provide community support through health and social services. I have since dedicated my life to creating and providing similar care and service. It’s a true honor aligned with my heart’s passion to support the continued growth and impact of the NBA.

Who is a hero of yours, and why?

I have too many heroes and sheroes to name. All of whom have provided loving kindness, care, support, resources, listening ears, finances, housing, hugs, and smiles. They are my heroes because they held space for me in ways I needed most at the time. That has meant the world to me and as a result, daily I aim to be and do the same for those around me.

If I tried to find you in a supermarket, what aisle would you be in?

I’d definitely be found in the frozen section exploring the ice cream options. Ice cream is one of my favorite things on earth.
