NBA Announces Awarding of Spring 2025 Mission & Ministry Grants

The National Benevolent Association is proud to announce the recipients of its Spring 2025 Mission & Ministry Grants. The program provided a total of $176,600 in grants to 31 Disciples projects and ministries working with older adults, children, and youth.
“There are a number of entities within the Disciples denomination that are doing impactful work,” said Kara Whitehouse, NBA’s Operations and Grants Management Coordinator. “With our Mission and Ministry Grants, NBA is committed to partnering with these ministries and organizations to empower their projects to best serve their individual communities.”
15 Disciples regions are represented in this cycle of grantees, including 15 grants to programs working with youth and young adults; 12 grants to programs involved with older adults; and four grants to intergenerational programs.
Now in its ninth year, the Mission & Ministry Grants program has made purpose-restricted funds available for Disciples’ congregations and health and social service ministries for more than half a decade. This is the third year of our new twice-a-year cycle, which allows the NBA to award up to $400,000 a year to ministries. Since 2017, the Mission & Ministry Grants have granted more than $1.5 million to ministries that support disenfranchised youth and older adults.
