The National Benevolent Association is pleased to welcome Catherine Avena as its new Senior Development Associate.

“I am thrilled to have Catherine join our development team,” said Paige Bobbitt, NBA’s Director of Development. “Her deep and practical expertise in database management, paired with a clear understanding of how thoughtful data practices strengthen donor relationships and organizational trust, will make her an excellent partner in our development work.”
Catherine will serve on NBA’s Development and Marketing Team, becoming the latest member of the organization’s expanded development team working to better accompany supporters, steward resources responsibly, and sustain the work entrusted to us. In her role, Catherine will oversee the coordination and tracking of development activities and support efforts to implement and achieve strategic goals in annual fundraising, major gifts, planned giving, and any special stewardship campaigns.
The element of database management is critical to guiding NBA’s development strategy. “When an organization has accurate data about its supporters, it can communicate more personally, steward donors more meaningfully, and make smarter fundraising decisions,” said Catherine. “Clear, reliable data enables precise segmentation, stronger relationship‑building, and the ability to forecast and measure impact with confidence.”
Catherine comes to NBA after serving with religious organizations, including the Midwest Jesuits and St. Ignatius College Prep in the Chicago area. She brings significant experience with database management, systems integration, and data integrity, skills that will support NBA’s development work and help strengthen donor relationships.
